A blue and white porcelain plate hand-painted in the classical Chinese manner. The central scene shows figures on horseback hunting deer beneath rocky outcrops and trees, one rider tumbling acrobatically from the saddle, framed by a border with reserved panels of flowering peony.
The underside carries a six-character mark reading Da Ming Chenghua Nian Zhi, an apocryphal reign mark of a kind long used on decorative export and revival wares.
Great on a plate wall.
