A Crown Lynn trough vase in white glaze, model number 74, with a clean oval form and distinctive vertical ribbing around the exterior walls.
Crown Lynn was New Zealand's most significant ceramics manufacturer, producing from the 1940s through to 1989 at their Te Pai factory in Auckland. Their flower bricks and trough vases were made in large numbers and remain highly collectible, particularly in original glaze with clear mould numbers.
This example has a solid, low-slung profile well suited to a flat arrangement of flowers or foliage. The ribbed exterior gives it a modest architectural quality that reads well in both vintage and contemporary interiors.
Condition: Interior shows some brown staining, likely from water and soil residue. The glaze has crazing throughout.
