Emerald Green Crown Crystal Glass Jelly Mould - 1940s
A striking emerald green pressed glass jelly mould, made in Sydney, Australia by the renowned Crown Crystal Glass Company.
Formed in 1926 through the merger of Crown Glass Works and Crystal Glass Limited, Crown Crystal was Australia’s only manufacturer of pressed glassware at the time - a position they maintained until the 1980s.
While this particular style of jelly mould doesn’t appear in the 1929 or 1932 Crown Crystal catalogues, examples are featured in the Crown Corning Glassware Collection at the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS) in Sydney. These pieces have been attributed to Crown Crystal and dated to the 1940s.
