French Louis XV Style Leather Armchair
A leather armchair in the Louis XV manner, upholstered in warm tan leather. The carved beech frame is well-executed - shapely cabriole legs with floral carved detail, a gently serpentine seat rail with floral carving at the apron, and elegantly curved open arms with shaped supports.
Very comfortable to sit on. French made, 20th century.
Condition: Good overall condition. The leather shows honest wear consistent with age and use - light creasing and softening to the seat and back that only improves the character. There is a small loss to part of the wood edging on the frame; visible in photographs. The carved detail remains largely crisp and the structure is sound.
