Lloyd Loom Pink Linen Hamper by Lusty & Sons 1930s
A rectangular linen hamper by W. Lusty and Sons of London, makers of Lloyd Loom woven fibre furniture under licence from the original American patent. The original paper label is still in place on the underside, reading Lloyd Loom Woven Fibre Furniture British Made.
The piece dates to the 1930s. It features a neat plaited rim, a woven loop pull on the lid, and shaped decorative feet. Lloyd Loom is not true wicker but a wound paper and wire weave stretched over a bentwood frame.
Condition: Very good. Scuffs and small paint losses to the lid and feet consistent with age and use.
Dimensions: 37cm Wide x 28cm Deep x 59cm High.
