A matching pair of Royal Doulton vases in the Persian pattern - the same design as the jardinière also available in the shop, if you are after the full group. The all-over transfer print is characteristic Doulton at its most exuberant: yellow and blue parakeets perched among dense green foliage, pink flowers, and curling stems on a cream crackle ground, the rim finished with a fine green line.
The form is a gently hexagonal baluster with a waisted neck - elegant and well-suited to the pattern. These are sold as a pair and would make a lovely mantelpiece arrangement, particularly alongside the matching jardinière.
Condition: Great overall. Fine crazing to the glaze throughout, characteristic of the period and entirely expected in pieces of this age. Minor wear to pattern surface consistent with use.
