Pressed Glass Sea Urchin Bowl
A lovely pressed glass bowl with radiating ribs which sweep up from a central cluster of raised dots, with rows of smaller bubble-like studs running along each rib and a gently scalloped rim finishing the edge.
Pressed glass in this decorative style was popular in Europe and the UK from the late nineteenth century through to the mid-twentieth, with many examples produced in Czechoslovakia, France, and Britain for everyday domestic use.
The radial rib and bubble motif places this piece most likely in the 1930s to 1950s, consistent with the mould-pressed technique.
