One of Sylvac's most beloved designs, this rabbit and cabbage vase is model 1318, made by Shaw & Copestake in Staffordshire, England. Three rabbits in warm fawn-glazed stoneware climb and nestle around a large cabbage leaf form - the leaves opening at the top to make the vase. It is the kind of piece that has always inspired affection, and rightly so: the modelling is detailed and lively, and the soft matte glaze suits the subject perfectly.
