Handmade Wall-Mounted Plate Rack
A generous wall-mounted plate rack in solid native timber, made by 'Treetop Woodcraft' and almost certainly New Zealand-made. Three tiers of vertical spindle dividers hold plates upright across the full width of the rack, while a row of eight cup hooks runs along the lower section and a turned towel rail finishes the base. The cornice-style moulded top gives it a dresser-like presence that suits both heritage kitchens and relaxed country interiors.
The timber, most likely rimu or another native hardwood, has been painted white at some point, and the piece has the honest character that comes from genuine use. The paint has chipped and worn in places,
Condition: Structurally sound. Paint is chipped and worn throughout, particularly on the shelf ledges and spindles, consistent with age and use. There is a hairline split and other areas of the wood that have undulations.
