A pair of silver plate candlesticks by Horace Woodward & Co, London, dating to the late 19th century. Each candlestick rises from a shaped square base decorated with fine garland and floral detail, leading up to a fluted Corinthian column draped with trailing floral swags. The columns are crowned with elaborately worked Corinthian capitals - acanthus leaves and scrollwork. A solid and decorative piece of Victorian silversmithing from a reputable London maker.
Good antique condition with some expected wear to the silver plate, consistent with age and use. Both candlesticks are structurally sound. The detail remains well defined throughout.
