A framed chromolithograph titled "Penny a Bunch," after the 1899 painting by George Elgar Hicks. A young flower seller with tousled hair holds a bunch of chrysanthemums against her chest, captioned "Painted by George E. Hicks" lower left with the signature, and the title printed beneath. The print carries the Raphael Tuck & Sons publisher line, London, Paris and New York, and is mounted with a cream mat behind glass in an high gloss moulded frame. Raphael Tuck & Sons were the leading fine-art print publishers of the period, and the royal warrant wording in the imprint places this early-1900s printing in the reign of Edward VII.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Some scratching to the base of the frame, hard to see when hung.
