A particularly nice c. 1910 Flow Blue pitcher featuring rich cobalt imagery and hand painted gold gilding.
This piece tells a story of two landscapes: one side features a serene cottage scene with mountains and a lake, while the reverse displays a dramatic nautical scene with a sailing ship, titled "Zuider Zee" (referencing the historic Dutch inlet).
The pitcher is heavily embellished with gold that highlights the embossed, scalloped rim and the textured base. A bold, decorative piece that stands out beautifully in any blue and white collection.
Condition: Beautiful vintage condition. The gold hand painting is in excellent condition, retaining its shine with minimal rubbing. No chips or cracks observed.
